I look for jockeys who are not leading the top three jockey’s leader board. I also look at the trainer’s strike rate. Finally, I look for a jockey outside of these top three jockeys in the leader board who are not riding at the principal horse race meetings of the day.
I then factor in the decimal betting odds of these selections to make sure they have a reasonable chance of winning the race based on the implied odds. Let the maths do the talking has a final qualifier.
