Early Morning Bet Strategy

Early Morning Bet Strategy UK Horse Racing

Personally, I do not like an early morning bet strategy and I will explain.  One simple statement sums it all up, the betting market has not formed early in the morning. I like to wait 5 minutes until the race starts as most of the money will have entered the market. I use the excellent Betfair betting exchange to give me the best view of a UK horse racing market. It’s normally accurate in my opinion and with a very small overround you are not getting a distorted view. I normally look at the top and bottom of the market. I like the strategy of laying the favourite if it is less than decimal odds 2.8 and then I will look for a double figured priced horse at the bottom of the market for the same race. If you lay a short priced favourite you take out 40 to 50 percent of the book value. This is why I like to wait for the betting market to settle down to ensure I have the correct decimal odds. This is why my approach to betting does not suit an early morning bet strategy.
