I have seen numerous articles on this 2nd favourite horse racing system on the internet and in my opinion this is the most illogical system I have come across. I must say the betting market does get priced up efficiently. But I think the top 4 in the betting normally throws up the winner of a horse race. Now you might say lets dutch the top 4 in the betting market regardless of the book value. This is another bad system with this approach you are following the crowd.

Quite simply when you have looked at the form of the horse which is 2nd favourite in the race and it qualifies as a bet in your analysis of the horse form then it becomes a viable bet. You must also factor in the decimal odds of the 2nd favourite as this is equally as important as horse form. If the 2nd favourite has double figure decimal odds then mathematical probability is against you. If the horse had decimal odds of 3.0 or 2/1 in old money then probability is on your side. If the statements are true in this section then the same can be said for the favourite or the 3rd and 4th favourites of the horse race.
Conclusions Of The 2nd Favourite Horse Racing System
I think just using a 2nd favourite horse racing system without any further predicates does not make sense, you are just flying blind here. Yes you will get winners but this does mean you will make a long term profit. There are too many unknowns with this 2nd favourite horse racing system. Would you place a £100 bet on a random race on a random 2nd favourite in that race, I certainly would not.
