Laying Outsiders Horse Racing UK

Bad mistake adopting a laying outsiders horse racing strategy!

The liabilities of an outsider winning the race outweigh the long term profit when these outsiders lose the race. These outsiders when they win and they will win will cause maximum profit damage. They tend to happen when you do not expect it in other words you will have a long profitable run and then the outsider wins.

If we have a 20/1 outsider and we lay it for £10 not to win the race we have a liability of £200 if it wins the race. But we make a £10 profit if it loses the race!

If the horse wins, we have to get 20 losing outsiders at these odds to claw our money back!
This is not my style of betting unless you put horse form analysis into the horse racing market and nip in and nip out for some easy money. In other words, one or two lay the outsider bets that have been fully analysed.

This would be my approach!
