Dutching Horses For Beginners
Dutching Horses For Beginners UK Horse Races
Dutching horses for beginners is not an easy topic to explain and it is also not an easy and profitable betting strategy to implement. It sounds easy in practice back the top 5 or 6 in the betting market, the winner will come from this lot and you just walk away with your profit.
I have seen the seventh horse in the betting market win the race and I have covered the fancied 5 or 6 fancied horses. Just backing the top 5 or 6 in the betting market is a guessing game it is as simple as that. If the book percentage value of the top 5 or 6 in the betting market is too high like greater than 60%, you will lose money in the long term. The winning run of 4 or 5 consecutive races will be negated by the losing race which will happen to you, your boat will come in!
The lecture is over but I needed to make this statement as I have been there so many times in this repeating scenario and it hurts financially and emotionally.
So How Do We Get Around The Novice Dutching Mistakes
First off all lesson number 1 do not back to a high percentage book value you will lose long term.
Second lesson do not try to dutch every race of the day.
Thirdly understand your entry and exit strategy to a particular race.
Fourthly target a percentage book value, I target a percentage book value of less than 50%. I like to aim between 30% and 50% book value for any given race.
Lastly understand the race type you are aiming for example,
Maidens (These will normally have a high book value).
Handicaps (My type of race with a favourite around decimal odds 5.0)
Number of runners maximum and minimum.
Race type jumps or flat races.
Distance of the race.
Do you include amateur races? Personally, I do not!
Finally use a dutching tools to calculate a race percentage book value and place the dutching bets on for you.
This is just a starting pointing but will save you a great deal of time and money.
I can recommend two books on my website that are specifically written around dutching horses and help you to avoid making mistakes.
I hope you have enjoyed it.
