UK Horse Racing Handicapping Scenarios And Formulas
There are numerous horse racing handicapping formula and horse racing form scenarios outlined in detail in this book to help you pick winning horses in UK handicap horse races.
This is not a horse racing system but proven ways to map scenarios and formulas to any UK handicap horse racing race card.
They are laser targeted and not open for interpretation, in other words they are clear cut!
These will help you find winners!
I will give you a typical scenario of myself a long time ago reading UK handicap horse racing form.........
Early Years
After 30 years of form reading UK handicap horse races and horse racing form I know now my mistakes, trust me it’s called cutting your teeth!
In my opinion picking potential winners in UK handicap horse races is a lot easier than you think. I have picked winners out of 17 runner handicap races with ease in the past.
So how do you do that you may think, is this rubbish I am reading?
Well, the answer to this is no.
I run a horse racing tipping service, and I only give out my horse selections or tips in UK handicap horse races. I use my own horse handicapping formulas to achieve this and do not back horses at shortish decimal odds.
Over a period of 30 years, I now know what to look for when studying a horse racing handicap race card. Don’t get me wrong here I do get losing bets as you always have a superstar horse in the making lurking somewhere or horses are having off days.
Approaching UK Handicap Horse Races.
In my opinion a punter will approach these types of races with one approach but yes it will work for some of the time. But a directed one way approach will not suffice here, horse racing form is very complex and has numerous permutations.
So multiple approaches need to be adopted to cater for this complex horse form data.
Horse Form Overlays
This book will show you horse form formulas or horse form scenarios as overlays for a race card in identifying horses to pick as potential winners.
How to read Daily Racing Form
How to read daily racing form is not easy, I have been reading horse racing form in UK handicap horse races for 30 plus years, and I am still learning. There is so much horse form data and statistics available to the punter to navigate and digest. This is great for all levels of punting experience and is a valuable asset when analysing horse form on a daily basis.
Horse Racing Form Guide Symbols
The favourite horse racing form symbols that come to mind are C - course winners and D - distance winners and then CD which is course and distance winners. These are solely my opinions on daily horse form reading and analysis, but I do not even take much notice of these symbols for course and distance statistics apart from a few exceptions.
When I mean exceptions, I mean certain racecourses in the UK where stamina is a premium.
Another exception is extreme race distances where a horse is unproven at that distance.
I am not really concerned about horses that have F- fallen in their last race this also applies to B – brought down and P – pulled up.
There are other horse racing form symbols, but I think you have got the point here.
Horse Racing Form Left To Right
Scanning horse racing form left to right what does it mean?
Very little in my opinion as I scan horse racing form left to right and then right to left and top down and bottom up on a race card.
I wrote a book on this subject of reading horse racing form by alternate scanning a race card. This book is called ‘Visualising Horse Form’, and I use the approach outlined in this book everyday when I look at the race card in the racing post.

By adopting this approach, I do not suffer from brain fatigue when analysing horse form on a race card!
But there is more to just scanning a race card for potential selections to bet on. We also need to incorporate in this scanning process horse form data retention and also cross matching this horse form data with the other horses in the race.
If after scanning a race card and a small number of horses do not appear clear of the rest of the field ignore the race! Why take a chance with horse selections with small horse form margins advantages.
This book is probably in my opinion a game changer!
